Small cosy cafe serving good coffee, really tasty food with a smile. Do not expect white tablecloths, this is clean but decorated in its own style with attractive colours. Worth a visit for the experience alone but the food really does nail it.
one of my favourite cafes anywhere! I'm pretty fussy when it comes to coffee, food and service but the Java Coffee House gets top marks all round. Firstly, the people who run it are lovely and whether you're a local or visitor, the welcome is warm & genuine. The coffee is delicious, the rock cakes are the best I've ever had and the vegetarian food is tasty, healthy and generously portioned. Head & shoulders above any other cafe in swanage.
We search out independent coffee shops when we visit new towns. Java did not disappoint at all. Hidden down the end of a small shopping lane. We went for coffee, we stayed for toasted banana bread and would have had more if we were hungry. Why not 5 stars? You would not have read this review if I had given it 5 stars!
