The service was bad, most staff were miserable looking apart from the trainee she was nice and smiley. We ordered hot chocolate and a cream tea but I was not impressed with the scones they were tiny and so crumbly and the jam and clotted cream was served in plastic containers so for quicker service which means ( less work to do for the staff) Also when I wanted pay by contactless but no only cash, I know its like going back in time but this is ridiculous. And then to top it off we smiled and said good bye to the staff and they couldnt even be bothered to look up and say good bye as one member of staff was to busy eating her food for lunch and playing on her phone. Very bad service and will not be recommending this place to anyone soon, far better cafes to eat in Swanage. Sad
Really nice tea rooms in swanage. Only slight problem it's cash only, but owner said prices would have to go up if cards were added.
In a world of coffee shops this is still a good old fashioned tea rooms and there is nothing wrong with that. Offers a variety of good quality fayre and, of course, plenty of teas. Prices are reasonable and service good.
Nice little tea room and shop. Friendly welcoming staff. All apart from the trainee who needed to learn about customer service! Lovely views and simple food menu. Will return next time we're in Swanage.
There are much better places to eat in Swanage, at least three within a few yards. Try Fortes or best of all Haymans bakery across the road. The food here is average, the service slow and the staff seem like they wish you weren't there. Dull, dark and cramped inside outdoor seating is very basic. Good views from the back, although you end up sitting in the pedestrians on the prom. View from the front outside is of the back of some tatty shops.
