This is a place to sample the best Purbeck Homegrown Meat. The menu is limited but more than sufficent. The slow roast stews are fantastic with meat that falls apart in your mouth. Deserts seem to be limited to homemade cakes and Ice Cream, but that was on a winters day. There was plenty of room for all, but that was on a day when there was not Ferry and no tourists, so summer will be packed, but it is still worth the wait. Not a place for Vegans.
Had a full English. Sausage was pink inside. And - this is a first for me -they delivered boiled potatoes with my fried egg, etc. Never had boiled potatoes with a full English before. Also my toast never arrived. This is a lovely place to have a quiet coffee. But the food and service are a bit disappointing. So overall can't really recommend it.
Excellent cooked breakfast. One of the finest I've had.The bacon and sausages make it, and are far far superior to any "finest" or "taste the difference" meat you can buy in a supermarket. That alone makes a visit here worth it in my view. The cost is easily justified.The coffee is also some of the best in Swanage and they'll do takeaway, which is handy.
