Not the friendliness as it once was. Enquired about vacancies, told them we'd stayed there before, but they weren't bothered about our previous custom nor were we welcomed back with open arms.EDIT: There is no further information with which to provide you. First point of contact matters and if this isn't right, then we take our business elsewhere.
On arrival after setting up our touring Caravan we found the power on the supply post kept tripping out. We reported this to reception on the Saturday and we were promised someone would be out straight away to fix the issue or we could move to a smaller pitch, which we refused as it was getting dark and raining and to be honest why should we? Our neighbour is suffering the same problem, our quick fix was to use the power towers on the vacant pitches above us. It's now Tuesday and despite staff going around putting Christmas lights up no one has been to fix our power problems. Another issue is the toilets and showers, these haven't been cleaned since we arrived and despite it being low season they seemed to be used a lot and are now pretty grubby, a 1 toilet brush would help but these aren't provided either! On the whole the site has been a disappointment and does not live up to it's ratings. It may have a swimming pool and bar on site but the service has been poor, maybe it's because the site seems more focused on the higher income it generates from the hire of it's static Caravans? ...........In response the owners reply concerning the cleanliness of the Toilets, surely it should not need reporting? Everywhere I have stayed has a cleaning regime in place to ensure the Toilets are checked regularly with a sheet on display to show this is carried out. No one checked the Toilets during our stay as my Wife had to take her own Loo roll as there was none! No good enough I'm afraid.
We've stayed here many times when camping. This was our first visit with our caravan. Site and facilities are first class, some members of staff are a bit frosty but I'll still give them 5 stars for overall experience
Love this holiday village. Clean and well kept environment. Beautiful well equipped comfortable caravan. Great surroundings. Easy access to beautiful beaches and walks in the Purbeck hills. Already booked for next year.
To be honest I am not sure if I want to share my findings of this hidden gem!Warm welcome, great pitch, fantastic playing field and park for the kids and a really, really well stocked shop (not very often you will see 6 milk alternatives in a camping shop if any at all).Kids loved it and just figuring out when we can squeeze another trip in. All in all a fantastic family run site with just enough for a perfect touring site.
