Stayed in one of the B&B rooms, was clean and tidy, nice view of the sea and overlooking the high street, lovely cooked breakfast and a member of staff who was cheery and did the table service. reason for 4 stars was due to the bed mattress being at a level of firm that I don't find too comfortable.
The pub itself is in need of an urgent refurb - Looks more like a wild west saloon inside. However that said, The live music over the last May bank holiday 2018 was really good and got the crowd going. Drinks prices were also very reasonable considering a lot of the other establishments nearby are clearly money grabbing and making up profits for poor out of season trade. Bar staff are plentiful on busy evenings and serve quickly unlike some of the other aforementioned fellow drinking holes in Swanage. In hindsight, It's a refreshing to see a pub that doesn't pretend to be something it's not on that particular high street.
