As it states is an information centre and certainly is. Has lots of leaflets and can ask staff for assistance. Worth a visit.
Excellent service and location.Since my wife has been in a wheelchair we are finding so many places inaccessible, spacious inside and helpful and caring staff. The Accessible Purbeck brochure given to us last week was extremely useful. My wife stayed at the Y.H.A 63years ago and we had our honeymoon in Swanage 59 years ago, so many happy memories.
Visited during carnival week . Absolutely fantastic. A very big well done to all the services and volunteers who work tirelessly too put on a great event for everyone. Can't wait till next year. Brilliant.
Lovely place full of history and cultural sites. Mostly Sandy beaches with plenty of parking and good access to the sea. Good places to eat and drink in the town and surrounding areas. Public transport takes you to local well known holiday hotspots of Bournemouth and Poole
Swanage is royal pain to get to, especially if you have make your way through Wareham, but once you're there, if the sun is even just partially out, you're in for a treat. Nice beach (mixed sand and shingle) and plenty of places to nosh down in, although not all fish and chippies are created equal! Try your hand at crabbing or just roll up your shorts and enjoy wading through the surf. Good spread of toilets along the coastline in case you're caught short!
