Just returned from a cristmas belle trip we were very impressed with the whole experience canaps and champagne and more champagne great atmosphere look forward to next year many thanks to everyone

Easy place to find. Try and park in Gilbert road if you can as its free, but spaces are limited. I went on here with my wife, son of nearly two years of age and a friend. Our son went free due to his age. Lady in ticket office even issued our son a ticket even though he didnt need one. It said My first train ride on it which was very special and thoughtful. Thought that ticket prices were acceptable for what you got. The shop at Swanage station was a little pricey and has a good variety of items on sale, but I guess thats how they make their money. Travelled to Norden and went to the free mining museum. Be prepared to walk up different gradients of land. Norden station cafe prices werent too bad.

The heritage railway from Swanage to Corfe Castle was the highlight of our journey to the Dorsets Jurassic Coast. The station is where the journey starts. The station is well maintained with posters of a bye-gone era. The staff are certainly most helpful. Of course, the centre of attraction was the real steam engine.

This was a charming way to travel to Corfe. Id never been on the train despite coming to Swanage for years and it was well worth the wait. This will now be an essential part of my future visits as well as the Birds Nest Buffet. Its a great place to pop to whilst you wait for the next train.

I didn't get a chance to travel on the train, but the staff were very helpful as I had a look round the station. I was particularly impressed with the catering facilities and the menu on offer. This is a definite must on my next visit.
