Over priced experience. Definitely not worth the costs that they charge. Could go to any other hotel and get a better experience for the same or less price. Shower was cold, food was poor (pork very tough and chewy) and service was average. Would not go back. Told the staff at the time and no changes made. Save your money for a better experience somewhere else
The best place I have eaten at in England so far. This place is fine dining. The food was top tier. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is amazing. It's a little bit more expensive then other places but it's worth it. I ordered a 2 course meal with a drink for 20 pounds. The starter was a artichoke and bacon dish with rocket and pesto. For mains I had tasty haddock and vegatables. The drinks that came with the meal were a glass of red or white or a non alcoholic apple punch which I ordered and was one of the best tasting things in the world. Everything tasted amazing. Portion sizes aren't huge but not small. I was full after my lunch there . The surrounding area is beautiful and there are many walks close by. I would go back. It's great for a date or a family on holiday.
Thoroughly enjoyed lunch at the the pig , the dining experience was very good food excellent service impeccable. The staff very friendly and welcoming and the ambulance comfortable and relaxing. Many thanks.
The menu is wonderful, the food really delicious and the staff couldn't be more helpful. It's not particularly cheap but worth the expense of a lovely lunch in a lovely atmosphere. I do wonder why there's a need to include a service charge of 12.5% even if it's discretionary. As a satisfied customer I'd prefer to add a gratuity rather than appear churlish in asking for the charge to be removed. But maybe that's the idea.
The Pig was out of this world - we stayed here for our mini moon, in The Lookout. Coming from a hospitality background, generally we are always in "work mode" when staying away but could not fault a single thing. The staff were absolutely amazing from arrival to departure. We got a lot of gifts and special treatment but my overall favourite was our money plant, which I will treasure forever! Thank you for creating an amazing memory for us.
