Pizzas are delicious but service could be a little better
We just waited over 1.5hrs for our food, The pizza was half cooked, the very dish was filled with soggy old vegetables and the seafood dish was not fresh.No impressed
The food is poor , burnt cheese on my son's pizza and not cut through, my other son's meatballs so spicy with pepper he could not eat them,my wife had some sort of chicken dish very dry and she just left it and I had the very salty fish risotto .I only managed a couple of mouthfuls before my worst nightmare , a fish bone in the back of my throat . I gagged and thankfully it came out ,to my suprise a piece of sharp plastic food container what looked like a triangular large finger nail.the staff confirmed and how lucky was I as they took my meal off the bill.So I I I I I , me paid 60 for this near death experience. Close before you kill someone. The council need to take a good look at all your reviews.Thanks for experience Stuart McDonald.
So when paying for the the meal the chef decided to take his shirt off in the middle of the open kitchen. This was mentioned to the waiter who said nothing. This establishment is linked to the pub next to it so when going next door the message was passed onto management. In the mean time my partner had been getting stabbing pains in the stomach and within 10 minutes of leaving the restaurant was throwing up. After speaking to management was advised this was nothing to do with them and they walked off. Ended up speaking to the assistant manager who due to no fault of his own couldnt help as the management had walked out. Ruined our holiday as it was our last day. Would advise to not eat at here or The Ship Inn as the kitchens are linked.
Lovely pizza with great toppings and lovely stringy cheese but wine and water glasses were dirty (lots of dirty water marks and old lipstick!) and 5 salad was very very small and not good value.
